How to Insert Images into Gmail
Finally Gmail has included a feature to insert images into Gmail. To activate this feature turn on “Inserting images” from the Labs tab under Settings, and you’ll see a new toolbar icon like this:

From the Gmail blog. Make sure you’re in rich formatting mode, or it won’t show up. Click the little image icon and you can insert images in two ways: by uploading image files from your computer or providing image URLs.
Keep in mind that Gmail doesn’t show URL-based images in messages by default to protect you from spammers, so if you’re sending mail to other Gmail users, they’ll still have to click “Display images below” or “Always display images from …” to see images you embed.

How can i find Labs tab under Settings? It was not found on my Google mail.
@sharon – Turn on these and other experimental features from the Labs tab under the Settings menu. The settings link is located in the top horizontal nav.

For some reason i cant find the “Inserting images” feature within settings…i thought it would be under the general settings but isnt where should i find it? thanks. JS
@Js – did you look in Google labs? That feature should be located there.
All I want to do is to drag and drop an image, not to save the image and the insert it… why cant we do this simple function?
